On work

There is no greater truth than this:
If you don't find happiness in your work,
Never else will you never find it
To work is to live life in its fullness:
The joy is in the routine
and the learning it takes,
the fun is in the challenges
you meet.
The pleasure
in the acquaintances you make:
The reward is in the daily bread
The learning in the reaping
of the sweat of your brow.
So work, dear friend,
with all your heart,
For when you work with your mind
and hands and heart
and head and soul
and all your strength
You bind yourself
to yourself
and to others,
and to God.
